In the Age of Stone Tools, we people got safer.
We had good defense and good survival.
We started to thrive, and to create.
We settled down and gathered wealth.
We kept the wolves at bay,
but kings and conquerors kept us in fear.
Some people take power by any means.
Those people rule us all, insane though they be.
We still live in an Age of Kings.
Wannabe kings emulate their heroes
inflicting fear and force
on anyone in reach.
Predators and parasites are part of nature,
even if they come at us in human form.
The world may never be safe.
It surely does not feel safe now.
The human world feels angry,
off balance at the verge of a precipice.
