This is, indeed, a great post you have here. I really appreciated reading your description of that experience you had and found it really interesting that you drew on scrolls.

Irena, it's great to get that compliment from you since I know you also draw movement and make scrolls. Your scrolls are great too. To any other readers of this blog who like scrolls, here's a link to check them out: http://www.voidit.net/index.php?/ongoing/scrolls/

Thank you, Bruce. It's great to have experience of the figure drawing world from both sides of the easel. Artists that have modeled have an empathy that not only makes them treat the models better but gives them an inside-out feel for the pose that enhances their artwork. And models that have drawn from the model seem to have an especially good sense for the structural aspect of a pose that make it interesting from multiple angles.

I love these. I am a newish (1year) model and always looking for ways to better my craft. I have found some great ideas from your blog, thanks. I am finding modeling almost as much fun as drawing, which I used to do a lot of at Minerva's, years ago. I am hoping to resume up here in Rockland, soon.
