An animal about to be eaten
\nshuts down.<\/p>\n

A cornered beast
\nattacks!<\/p>\n

These responses live
\nin our very spine.
\nThey have been our way
\nsince we were little fishes.<\/p>\n

To free one from ancient instincts,
\nto learn to be present
\nand unafraid amid danger:
\nonly practice
\nover time
\ncan do.<\/p>\n

\nG:reed
\nLu:st
\nSpit:e
\nFear:
\nViolence is a
\npositive feedback loop:
\nCycle of Hell!
\nA chain reaction.
\nA standing wave.
\nThis horror must end!<\/em><\/p>\n

To end a feedback loop,
\nbreak the cycle.
\nGo in an unexpected direction.
\nSee? The vortex weakens.<\/em><\/p>\n

What then when one is truly in danger?
\nHow can one be calm
\nwhen a monster looms with a bloody blade?<\/p>\n

For this there is but training.
\nThe Master knows violence
\nonly as a practical tool.
\nShe has no meanness nor rage.
\nShe strikes only as needed.
\nShe has practiced with danger,
\ntil it feels like home.<\/p>\n

Move it in the Groove,
\nLady and Man!
\nFlipi dipi dipi dahu gaduba dey!
\nFalipi tipi tipi waha namanume tey!<\/em><\/p>\n

Over time,
\nthe training gives you bravery.
\nThe power you have
\nis your vibrancy in the deep groove.
\nIt is your every day mojo.<\/p>\n

Your opponent, crazed with rage,
\nor greed or lust or spite,
\nor fear,
\nis in a vulnerable state.
\nThus you have a chance
\nto bust out and run,
\nor to strike a blow,
\nor to turn the story.<\/p>\n

Thus fear goes down,<\/em>
\nway down.<\/em><\/p>\n
